The one thing that worries me is that we've been sold a dream, and that it will remain just that. I'm fully aware that we were in very much the same boat with Martinez and Brenda, and we all know those dreams came true. Potter was different, he had already successfully put his ideas into practice, albeit on a lesser level.

One of the criticisms leveled at Cooper was that he was a fraud, a claim that never sat well with me. In terms of his style, there wasn't any but he did have a system. A pragmatic, dull as dishwater system it may have been, but it was successful to a point on this level.

It's ridiculously early and unfair to dismiss Martin as a failure and a manager that's going to take us to relegation, but to date we've seen a passing style of play being implemented, but no effective system in terms of creating chances. At the moment, you could stick Lukaku up there and he wouldn't get any joy at all. Could calling Potter a fraud come back to bite us on the arse if our unproven manager fails to prove himself? That is my worry. Let's give him time and hope he proves he is no fraud, and has both style and substance.

Good post. That final third / attacking midfield has to be sorted quickly. Back three worries me too. Need some stability there quickly. The defending for the third Stoke goal was shambolic.

Martins been in the job 2 weeks, didn't have a preseason and doesn't have a full squad to choose from, but the change has been there to see and by Christmas we won't be anywhere near the relegation zone so cheer the f up and enjoy us getting back to the swansea way
