ECB is spot on.....some of the sides I saw down at the Vetch during the mid to late 80's would have taken 6 games to tally up 70% possession!!!😂🤣

Responses have been brilliant. My original thoughts were I'm basically fed up of being mugged off by the club in one form or another. For a season or 2 maybe, but this crap has been going on for 5/6 years now in different forms which end up back in the same place...us fans having the piss ripped out of us.
As someone posted, we arnt a million miles of being where we all suspect we should be.
Problem is I think wer fcked, and every fan has a breaking point. Even someone like me who's been everywhere with our lot for 40 plus years.

Nailed it brother 👌

Saint, I said it yesterday and I've thought and feared it for several years now.....we do this "keep possession stuff" but we have a mistake in us in every game and we get punished for it once a pass goes astray or goalkeeper comes out and passes .
Can you remember 6 years ago our opener against Hull?
Loads of possession, but we just couldn't get ball to Llorente.......Hull did naff all but 2 counter attacks from sloppy passes and we lost 2 nil.

I was tempted to take my nephew down on Saturday, first home game, weather was lovely etc but ended up watching it in a mates bar in his garden, and by god am I glad I did. £32.50 is ridiculous pricing for a championship ticket, plus my nephews ticket, you’re talking £45 before you’ve even bought a drink and some food. I certainly won’t be going to many home games regardless of the performance tbh.

My daughter been nagging me to take her but at those prices and the garbage we are producing I can't justify it.

We pay to watch a game of football don't we, that is all. We don't control what that looks like. I think we were spoiled by feeling we had a say and that we were part of something special when we were led up the garden path by the 'by the fans for the fans' stuff. Truth is we are just another football club where some games will be better than others, some managers will be better than others, some players will be better than others and if we can regress to a mean of mid table championship, that's a hell of a lot better than what I expected to watch for much of my exposure to the club. Truth is we should be in a better position after 7 years of Premier League money, but that was squandered by 'the fans for the fans' brigade one way or another.

I'm also jaded by the whole thing. I've seen it all now, from re-election, to top of the top league, to Wembley wins, to the overhyped PL, great players, terrible players, Harry Gregg, so what's left....a repeat?...never as good second time. I've lost connection with the club, found things to do rather than use all saturday for what's often an empty experience, and become a bit plastic. I can live with that.

Do I regret buying the season ticket. Given how cheap the OAP one was, then only because of the price of fuel and the distance I am from the action and the time it consumes and the inertia barrier to get there. If I lived local and had the money it's a no-brainer to spend a couple of hours and be able to have a beer without a car. I'd still not feel a great connection with the club in its current form and still throw stones at the manager to 'sort it out'.

At the moment no. However who would continue to go somewhere where your totally bored and piss*d off. If your local served terrible beer week in week out would you go back? Only in sport can you allow your self to be a Masochist. Well that's my take anyway.

Because I'm stupid (shiny shiny) It's over £45 in petrol for me before anything else. Karnataka and others will be the same. It's all an expensive hobby these days. I agree about the ticket pricing. It all feels like a road to nowhere in the end, up or down.

Oh well, that's cheered me up...

We decided not to renew our season tickets the last season in the Pram whatever division we were in. With potential of games being played at strange times it was getting more difficult for the 3 of us making games. We chose games but for a mixture of reasons we missed most of the games under Potter. Then came covid, and the routine changed. The football last season didn't help. This season we thought at least there would be an improvement, we were at Rotherham and ordered tickets for the Luton game. Things need improving before we warrant giving time and a 300 mile round trip for home games before that game count goes up.

If my boys don't behave this week I'll definitely be taking them to the next game. That'll learn them.

Christ what's that now? £70-80 in petrol? Plus all day, plus tickets, plus food and drink. That's a commitment.

More like stupidity.

Diesel so slightly less.

We're Jackarmy members but still £30 x 2 and 1 old git.

Without extras still talking close to £130.

Need some sort of return for that.
