• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I am in favour of giving people the choice to make their own decisions and am glad the vote was successful. I understand there are significant safeguarding issues and that these need to be robustly addressed, but it’s not as though we’re the first country to contemplate introducing this legislation and there’s no one out there we can learn from!! A number of countries (and States in the US) have already introduced assisted dying and we should be identifying the learning and best practice from them to address any safeguarding concerns.

MP’s should grasp the nettle, sort the issues out and let people have the freedom to choose their own path. Saying it can’t be managed safely etc is a cop out.

I don’t like the term assisted suicide, makes my stomach turn.

I’m glad that the bill has passed its first hurdle, hopefully it will be legal sooner rather than later.

It’s a difficult issue. Parliament will have earned its corn if it gets this one right. If I was an MP today I’d have voted against.

And me to I think, although after seeing my Mother go through her illness it would have been a tough choice, but on the other hand we don't let animals suffer the way we do with Humans.
