8 months after ordering our new Kia we took delivery of it today. 👍
Smashing car in fairness but 8 months. 🙄

Stonic. Gt line S. automatic. Great so far (20 miles).
We have a Piccanto as well, very happy with that too.

That's a long wait, fair play. Must be pretty thirsty by now.

The 23 model will be out soon

We had a qashqai on holiday recently, really liked it. Went to look at one and the garage wanted a deposit there and then. I needed a few days to think about it as there were a couple of niggles I wasn't happy with but during that time they put the price up £800 and sold it the next week.

Kia do good cars. Had a Picanto for a couple of years and was very happy with it. Only part exed because I wanted something bigger. Oddly enough I tried the Stonic and found there was more headroom in the Picanto. The Hyundai Kona had the same problem, but they're basically the same car.

At least I had it at the original price and they threw in a few extras. The price is going up a lot as well apparently. My son leases his car which is due for renewal next year and he’s been told to get it sorted asap or he might not get one in time. (Toyota).

Headroom is fine as Mrs Mute will be driving the Stonic, I’ll stick with the Piccanto turbo.

We’re in the middle of a global shortage of semiconductors and much of the automotive industry has been caught cold by it. Demand outstrips capacity significantly, hence lead times and prices are being driven up.

I have lost a car key and was astonished to be told that a replacement was unlikely for months, the driver being the shortage of chips.

Sorry, couldn’t resist it.

And the driver not being more carefull with his key

Guilty as charged, there's no excuse. Having turned most of the house over there's not much more to do other than pull the trigger on a replacement key.
