Can't say that I blame him, it seems that the sports writers for Spanish and French newspapers seem to have a carte blanche to write whatever they like and attack players however they see fit with no repercussions. Marca and L'equip are the two that immediately spring to mind as the worst offenders but there are others also.

I’ve got to be honest head I don’t know enough about it but has he had the opportunity to move away for less money?

He may have, I'm same I don't know, he's earning more than he'd earn elsewhere so I don't blame him one bit for sticking it out, but for them to slag him off is a bit rich, he came on as a last resort when Liverpool were dominating a Champions league final and won the game for them with two outstanding goals and the horrible twats still didn't appreciate him, he's the one laughing though and good on him, I say.

He's absolutely World Class, best Player Wales have produced since the great man John Charles.

It will be interesting to find out what went wrong with him and zidane , he pushed for RM to sign bale when he was the second team manager , the number of goals he scored was incredible considering the team was set up to provide tap ins for ronaldo , four champions league titles mean nobody can doubt he was a success , treated badly by the fans and media there , but that no big surprise , an arrogant club who are still trying to ruin football with a super league

Things were fine until a few years ago when Zidane and the Real Madrid president pretty much publicly tried to shove him out the door. Problem is he was on mega wages and no other club could match what he was being paid, so Bale said fine well f*ck you then and was happy to run down the remaining three or so years of his contract earning millions of pounds a year in the process.

The situation has hurt Wales though, as amazing as Bale was on Thursday night a match sharp Bale scores a hat trick and isn't coming off holding his groin after 85 minutes.

In 2019 Bale found a deal to go to China. He was gone, the plane tickets were booked, he was no longer a Real player. Then at the last moment, against the wishes of Zidane the Real manager, the Real President scuppered the deal. Why? Because Zidane was already on the edge of the precipice and they wanted harbour all the playing resources they had for "the next guy". These days they want Bale fit and ready to play so they can humiliate him by always keeping him on the bench. Who knows what goes on in training?

He enjoys playing for Wales, he gets no respect at RM and doesn't want to play for them; they won't play him but they won't let him leave. In my book he is free to play whatever games fit the bill, even if he is a Cardiff boy.

Imagine that being Ayew here doing what Bale's doing. We'd be up in arms.

Well most people were over Andy Robinson.
I also remember the north bank booing Jason Price when he touched the ball after he said he was running his contract down and leaving.
Pratley did the same.

It looks like its happening with Dhanda and Fulton, but in Fulton's case he should be playing, earning good bucks that they probably wouldn't be getting elsewhere, moreso in Dhanda's case.

They’re both at fault. The newspapers are scumbags but remember the Wales, Golf, Madrid flag that WoL print at every opportunity because they think it’s funny? How would we react?

Well the playground child's answer would be "they started it".
Looking at it objectively then RM are definitely the party at fault, Bale in my mind is perfectly justified to troll them after the way that the club has treated him.

You wouldn’t be up on that high horse if he was our player.

No problem with any player running their contract down as long as they give 100% as Ayew did.
Up to the club to make it worthwhile a player staying, surely ?
