• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Interesting who appears in the lowest table and who appears in the highest since 06/07 table...

interesting. I remember quite a few years ago wanting to watch a recording of a WC match which I wanted to see before another was starting but I didn't have the 90 odd minutes in which to do it so I used the 2x or 4x fast forward facility every time the ball went out of play or there was an injury stoppage and iirc I managed to watch the whole match in around 65 minutes.

Should we get nearly half our money back as we only get to see nearly half the playing time?

Not so sure about this, I find watching a whole '90 minute' game a task these days, hypothetically, if that were to stretch another 30 mins then I don't think I could ever watch a game in its entirety.

Evening games would have to kickoff far earlier, we're talking at least 7.15pm and 3pm kickoffs would be lucky to finish before 5.30 I feel

I think the quality would decline as players are playing for longer aswell

The article advocates a 60 minute match with the clock paused whenever the ball is out of play. Kick off to final whistle would still be roughly 90 minutes give or take

Hmm.
So if the playing time v Forest was about 60 minutes. They had the ball for about 30% of that time, which is about 20 minutes, and in those 20 minutes scored 5 goals and had another 10 shots at least?

Ahh I see, that makes sense because stopping the clock with a 90 minute duration would be unworkable
