The Stranglers doing " Walk On By " the Burt Bacaharach / Hal David composition made famous by Dusty Springfield , they take it to a new and very different level .

Dusty Springfield? Not sure about that. The song was written for Dionne Warwick and was a top 10 hit in UK and US in 1964. A lot of people have covered it since with differing degrees of success but I don't think Dusty was one of them. Stranglers version is excellent though.

Yes , I stand corrected , the original version was , and the one I recall was done by Dionne Warwick.
