I suppose the Prof could answer this, but should we be wary of poultry and will price be affected?

Thanks Prof, sorry I'm late in replying.

I was just wondering what would be the best chicken to buy, and would reassurance like an RSPB sticker like fearnley- whiitingstall campaigned for, help.

I hope you mean RSPCA! Well you are not going to get bird flu from eating chicken. It only crosses over with close contact-vets, poultry workers etc., unless you have a shift in which case we will have a nice flu pandemic.

Honestly- the RSPCA "Freedom Food" label mean a slightly slower growing bird, slightly more space and a window in the shed/barn. Yes, there is some improved welfare and if you are happy to pay a premium then great.
