• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

They got relegated with a championship squad (Wayne fvking Rooney) and have improved on their squad since going down.
Yup and he blew Plymouths season this season

13 away games. 2 points, 3 goals scored. 35 conceded and they end up going down on goal difference

What and how is that Knighthead thing working
No idea but it was something to do with the impressions it was generating on Twitter etc and apparently generates millions

I have never seen a manager so talented at turning mid table / play off chasing contending sides into relegation fodder as Wayne Rooney. Then again can hardly blame the players, I have listened to his interviews before and can barely understand a word he is saying.

No better proof has there ever been that being a good player does not necessarily mean you would be a good manager.

It gets even better when you consider that they were in like 4th place in the league when they sacked their manager to bring in Rooney :D

He screwed up all 4 teams he tried to manage. Yes took over Bham when 6th after they fired Eustace and relegated. This season Plymouth, 13 away games, 2 pts, GF 3 GA 35 and they will go down on on goal difference even if they win last game.

Derby 85 games 24 won 28% win %
DC United 53 games 14 won 26% win%
BHam 15 games 2 won 15% win%
Plymouth 25 games 5 won 20% win%

Its why any owner that gives him an interview needs to be straitjacketed and sectioned
Theres no faster way to guarantee your team gets a one way ticket to the relegation places

Think they're going to go big and break the spend last summer. Wouldn't be surprised if they post a break even season for 24/25 financially giving them even more headroom for PSR.

Their sponsorships are massive as is apparently this St Andrews @ Knighthead Park bollocks. My brother in law is a Blues fan and apparently it's generating huge revenue.
St Andrews @knighthead Park is just a naming rights deal with their owners (Knighthead Capital).

If they artificially inflate income from such a deal UEFA adjust it back down for FFP purposes anyway.

So let’s say a stadium naming rights deal is on average £1m p.a. for the championship and they claim it’s £10m, only £1m will be allowed for FFP calculations.

It’s too easy otherwise for owners to get round the rules.

Of course, anyone actually enforcing FFP is another matter.

Birmingham aren’t even the biggest club in Birmingham. There’s a lot of nonsense talked at this time of year.

It’s almost impossible to believe as he always struck me as a particularly intelligent footballer…
