Blackburn vs Burnley 8pm

We could end up just a point or two away from PO making those ludicrous losses against trash teams all the more sickening .
Next season ,the league will be much stronger

I’d imagine Luton would want to keep momentum going into the play offs

Coventry and Sunderland both have very winnable games this weekend. There endeth any hope.

68 points would be a miracle for play offs, even if we win the last two. What points total did we have for Cooper's Uberspawn job?

Plus, ultimately, we're 12th. We're not even pole position in the also rans. It would be the spaniest spawnfest since spawn was invented. I bet the bookies would be glad to take anyone's money.

When you look at the teams in the real playoff contention...Luton...Coventry...Sunderland...Millwall...Blackburn. Christ. What a chance this season was. Thrown away, almost certainly.

Where there's life there's hope I suppose.

The buck stops at Jason Levien and the disastrous January transfer window folks, an absolutely glorious chance of another season in the big league tossed away by a complete and utter cretin...

Agreed pal, but Russ lost the plot with the same players that have started and ended the season like lunatics.

Let's face it, there have been times when this season has been truly awful and the number of people saying they were unlikely to renew their ST just sums that up. So, to rub salt in the wound, I would expect us to
finish 7th and miss out on goal difference so we will all be able to point at around 10-12 games where we could and should have picked up the 1 extra point needed. What a waste.

I hope Levien will have the front to tell all the people who have invested in the scheme that is backing us, that he squandered the best opportunity there will ever be for them to get all their money back.

Fair point.
We suffered from an egotist coach and absent owners. They run us like a corner shop. They have cleverly powered our expectations over the years .

If we somehow managed to sneak in then I’d say it’s us or Middlesbrough as favourites

We aren't going to sneak in, it would take the greatest miracle since Jesus fed the five thousand with two loaves and three fishes, or whatever.

I'm no fan of our owners, but Martin has the same players he had before and after the January window who he couldn't get a tune out of, now they're flying. Is it the manager's fault or down to the players that we only do well in spurts?

I'd also say the owners got their fingers burnt in the last 2 January windows. 20/21, we were contending for automatic promotion, so they signed Hamer, Freeman, Whittaker and loaned in Hourihane, Morris and Arriola, on top of a pretty busy summer. Those lot would have cost a pretty penny and didn't pay off.

Last January they brought in Fisher, Ogbeta, Christie, Wolf, Burns. They didn't do much to improve our results and again wouldn't have been cheap. Even worse, Martin proceeded to ignore 2 of them completely and Fisher was no better than we already had.

Can't really blame them for not loosening the purse strings this January based on that history and where we were in the table at the time.

Should have read this before posting in the other thread. You’ve said it much better.
