Blackpool boss Michael Appleton says his side should have been 3 or 4 goals to the good before the Swans scored the crucial goal to seal a 1-0 win. His team missed a second half penalty – or rather Andy Fisher thwarted Jerry Yates – in a game where the Swans were largely good value […]

Ah! didums Michael have a sweet sherry and a good nights sleep and go again, no need to dwell on todays game, you'll have worst games guaranteed, so learn from it.

While he is right, we also missed a number of fantastic opportunities.
Nice to see he didn't mention his player who dived for the penalty.

If they should have had 4 then we should have had 6.

It would have been a travesty if they had scored the penalty, woolmer couldn't wait to give it the t@#£.

You don't always get what you think you deserve. We deserved it yesterday just as we did last Saturday. A couple of the chances Bpool had first half was again through our fannying around at the back. I know I'm stating the obvious to most. But overplaying will and has cost us games.

As I said in the match thread, it could have been 4 nil either way. Piss-poor finishing all around.

I was surprised he never had it re taken , saying Fisher had moved , Woolmer is in the group that hates us with a passion

You would expect any manager to say something like they had enough decent chances to have got something out of the game or even won it, which they did, but to say they should have been 3 or 4 up is utter bollox and to completely dismiss the decent chances we had as not enough to have got something out of the game is disrespectful. Show a bit of class and humility Appleton. ITV4 highlights pundits said we were good value for the win.
