• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Hi guys,

None of you will know/remember me, but me and James were together on and off from 2007 for a few years. He used to drag me to every swans game (I secretly enjoyed) including a trip to Spain in 2009. I knew as soon as I found out the news last week that there would be a thread about him on a Swans forum, and here it is. It’s been so lovely to read all of these comments and I’m sure they have been a great comfort to his wonderful family. I didn’t realise my heart could break because of him again, and I bet he’s having a right old laugh about it somewhere the sod 😂

Are you from Neath?

Welcome Yoshi, Blaze was an institution on here, someone who's posts you would never skip and always take the time to read. We all feel your loss ♥️

Hi guys,

It's been a while since I used the username Yougle, but for the sake of recognition I decided to bring it back. (For those who don't remember, I am Dutch Jack)

The news of James' passing has hit me real hard.

When I first started following the Swans from late 2006, James was one of the first local fans I met through social media.
He took me me to my first game in November of 2008. Both his family as well as @Yoshi 's made me feel welcome.

James, wherever you are now, I will never forget the good times we shared..

As is often the case, sad occasions like this allow for names/people from the past to meet up and share memories. It is exceptionally touching to see so many previous usernames back on here to pay their own tributes.

Don't be strangers guys, life really is too short.

Again, I wish to thank you all so dearly for these lovely comments and stories. Its heart warming to know how very highly thought of he was and still will be for years to come.
We have been inundated with visitors and could probably open our own florist! Now that the visits are trailing off and my children return to school, I will be sitting down with my parents and reading out all these lovely stories to them.

We have the dreaded task now of planning james' funeral and I would like to have your blessings to have some of these lovely words read at the service.

Thanks again everyone xxx
