• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

How many non sportsmen who did this would have been spared a jail term?

All said and done however he is a full back who pushed out Luke Shaw at United and by all accounts is still remembered fondly by fans of the teams he played for. Not quite at the same level as someone who got done stealing from handbags at a night club like our Nathan and how much truth there is to the mitigation of a player with too much fame and too much money combined with having the wrong kind of "friends" around him and being forcibly isolated from any support network to keep him grounded only he really knows.

Would you give a player like this another chance?
Would he get a chance in the Premier League or would the Championship realistically be the best level he can hope for right now?

He deserves another chance, however he needs to build trust with whoever gives him that chance. I hope he gets an opportunity but not with a massive salary, it's needs to be heavily incentive laden.

Also any contract needs exit clauses that enable the club to ditch him (without having to pay him off) should he transgress again.

I think most football contracts include clauses to break them unilaterally if a player goes to prison. Any failure to keep his nose clean for the next two years and thats exactly where he goes.

I wonder how many clubs will approach him to give him an opportunity if he wants it

Disliked him from the minute he burst onto the scene. Hadn't seen a Man U player dive as much since Ashley Young.

Must be something in the water up in Manchester

Sterling and Walker just couldn't stay on their feet either
