Brendan

Just a fire fighting exercise on his behalf to save face and turn the situation on to Brendan.

There's no way he's walking away from the club without good reason.
There's more to this than meets the eye Smurph, Desmond isn't liked by the supporters, the board are despised, MON is rightly regarded as the best Celtic manager since Jock Stien, but he's also a close friend of Dermot Desmond.
Brendan Rodgers hasn't covered himself with glory results wise this season, but there is more at play going on, trust me.

I wonder if there's any hint of romanticism within Brendan that would tempt him back here. I don't doubt that he probably thinks he's above where we are now, a PL manager at least, but there are plenty of successful/famous/big managers who step into our league now. The league is on another level than it was when he was last with us in terms of competition.

Speaking of big name managers, still mad to think Rafa Benitez managed in the Championship.
