• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Call me soft, but not a huge fan of our players playing in New York on a Tuesday, and then Bristol at 12pm on a Saturday. There was international break before the Hull game a few months ago, and Burgess had been in Australia 48 hours before, but still started. Can't honestly believe that he's fully fit with that travel.
That comes with the territory with him unfortunately. The reason he’s here is to keep match fit for the WC. He was a fringe player at Ipswich so the international travel wouldn’t have been a problem, but we’ve been beasting him by picking him for every game even when we’re resting Cabungo.

It is what it is, but yes I agree with you. All that travel and hardly any recovery time can’t help. He’s a bit of a unit though and fairly resilient. And he’s obviously not an explosive player, so he can probably trundle around for hours without any worries.

You are soft - he will be in first class with a lay flat bed for 8 hours - not pedalling the plane or running up and down the aisle..
