100%. I wanted him to do well but I cannot remember a defender who passes so poorly. I'm not even talking about being clever with the ball. He literally cannot do a simple pass. I would take the hit and get rid. Or if not have him as back up. We need a replacement and not just a loan cover.

Give Captain band to Franco or Tymon. And get rid of Cullen, Cabango and Burgess. Can't see it happening though.

Hasn’t been at the level I was expecting, or that Ipswich fans made out, but I don’t understand the huge desire to get the only outfield player in the EFL to have played every minute this season off our books.

Assuming Santos will find another club/will have his contract paid up, we have only 2 senior centre halves. We clearly need to bring in a starter (ideally a ball player with some pace - they’re going to have other weaknesses though if coming to a club at our level) to play alongside either him or Cabango, with the other one in the bench.

Expecting us to bring in 2 starting centre halves this summer is unrealistic for a whole host of reasons.

Agree that there are no other options atm, but I’m still not convinced why anyone would want to give away a player who’s likely to play all 46 league games this season (unless thinking purely from a financial point of view if his alleged wages are correct). There’s plenty on the books that have played less than half of that I’d be offloading first.

No matter what anyone thinks we’ve been lucky that neither him or Cabango have got injured since Xmas. We need to be going into August with 3 senior centre halves competing and being selected on merit, based on performances. If Burgess goes I just don’t see that happening and we’ll be scrambling around at the end of the window.

It'll have to be Vig. Galbraith's out the minute the transfer window opens. With out luck he'll be off to a championship side with deeper pockets.

Lissah will be in the side next season, and we may as well play him. It wouldn't be the first time that we've struck gold with an inexperienced CB

Had high expectations on Burgess being as good as the Ipswich fans were saying.
Think they have sent us a ringer.
Hopefully next season he becomes a squad player and we have someone else in as starting.

Defensively, we look decidedly shaky.
Could really do with a Sousa type defensive coach., teaching us how to defend as a team.
I detested the style of play, even falling asleep during 1 game.
But it built a solid platform for Brenda to get us up.

Although Brenda outran one of our midfielders/wingers with his dodgy knees.
Maybe we could find out if Brenda could play as a defender
