It troubles me very deeply that even if this is somehow made invisible, it is what increasing numbers are thinking and, as you say, is modelled as ‘acceptable’ by leaders. Driving it underground may be counterintuitively more dangerous, as at least this disgusting drivel gives a platform and an impetus to action and discussion.

Until the leaders come out against it and actions match words then it is just King Canute against the tide. And yes we are spiralling somewhere nasty indeed, backed by increasing moves to paramilitary policing by too many unaccountable thugs (obviously there are many fine police men and women, I’m just musing over direction of travel backed by posh shameless turds spouting populism, driven by power crazed opportunism and authoritarianism).
