• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

IF we'd played them under Sheehan I have no doubt that it would have been a different outcome

Even if they beat Oxford, they're still in deep doodoo.. you can smirk and smile and have a nod at their perilous state.. if they go down it'll be truly ICONIC

This could be said about most of the games Williams took charge of.
My brother asked something interesting as we left the ground yesterday. If it was possible for that team coached by Sheehan yesterday to play against the same team coached by Williams, what would the likely score be?

LOB would get the better of Key in midfield 😅

I don't know what instructions Williams gave to Key about where he should by playing but it was disastrous.
Key told me he hated it too… he complained to the coaching staff about not feeling comfortable doing it and was ignored and thrown under the bus when he made mistakes - absolutely killed his confidence

In the end his arrogance around his style of play, and inability to adapt to the specifics of each game cost him. The WBA debacle was just the straw that broke the camel's back and the players just stopped trying as hard. We could quite easily have been bottom 3 right now unless he got the sack (should have been sooner tbh).

Based on the points lost since the WBA debacle and Sheehan's points per game record since taking over we would have been in the playoff places if the club had gotten rid of him by end of January.

Should have been sacked after the West Brom debacle and then the hammering at Portsmouth.
