• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Don't get me wrong, I'm revelling in this as much as anyone & I would truly love for them to go down.
But it ain't over yet & there will be a few people with serious egg on their faces if they somehow manage to stay up.
The fact they find themselves in the predicament is worth laughing about whether they stay up or not.

Just enjoy it, I reckon 😉

Odds on for promotion at the beginning of the season.

Which I found odd, given bookies crunch the numbers probably better than anyone.

It was widely reported in several media outlets last pre-season that Cardiff had vastly overperformed on xGS and xGA all of the previous season. In other words, they were performing like a relegated team, and had got lucky. And if it didn't change direction, they'd be in some bother. Think it was the Not The Top 20 podcast who first highlighted it.

Now I'm not one for those types of stats usually, but you have to say, they were correct. So quite why the bookies didn't cotton on to that, I don't know.

I think it was more Cardiff fans thinking they are odds on for promotion.

Apparently they won they FA Cup a couple of hundred years ago 😉

Cardiff have been circling the drain for several seasons and aside from the Erol bounce elevating then to a false high they’ve been due to go for a while. Only they couldn’t see that, and it drives home the importance of our strong finish to the season, stopping the rot and not getting in to a perennial flirt with regulation.

It was Abandonedtomato and Anus. The rest of them are just kooky inbred followers.
