Still saying they won’t be paying.

FC Nantes welcomes today's decision on appeal by the Tribunal arbitral du sport (TAS).

The CAS completely dismissed Cardiff City's appeal and confirmed FIFA's decision on September 25, 2019, concerning the transfer of player Emiliano Sala.

The court therefore ruled, as FC Nantes had argued since the beginning of the proceedings, that the player's transfer to Cardiff City was over when he tragically died in an aviation accident.

As a result, the CAS ordered Cardiff City to pay the transfer fee to FC Nantes and sentenced Cardiff to a historically high amount, for procedural and arbitration costs.

FC Nantes is pleased that this procedure - initiated by Cardiff City and then delayed many times by Cardiff City - which has been difficult for all Emiliano's relatives, is finally closed.

The Club hopes that this will mark the end of the public disinformation campaign, to which the FCN has never reacted, out of respect for the player's family.

Has there ever been a more vile club in the history of association football?

Absolutely rotten from the top to the bottom.

I’m struggling to think of one. And to think we were only 40 mile away from having to support them. Gives me shivers just thinking about it.

That statement is shocking, reads more like something from a fan site than an official statement from a professional football club.

I'd like to think the FA or the EFL would step in and order them to pay what they owe or get kicked out of the league pyramid altogether. Not holding my breath that the pigs in the trough at those associations will do any such thing of course.

Edit: That statement says they will appeal the decision. But they've just lost their appeal against the original ruling. I'm no legal expert, but surely the system doesn't allow another appeal? Pay up you scumbags and then launch your own claim against Nantes if you're so confident they're to blame for what happened.

Sky sports said the next step is some court in Switzerland.

It'll end up costing them a lot more in the end with all these appeal costs and they'll still have to pay up. They more or less paraded him as their player ffs.

They're just going to drag it out as long as possible aren't they? Perhaps they're hoping they'll get promoted again before they run out of options and can pay it with the PL TV money. I hope they're being hit with huge legal costs with every case they lose, the morally bankrupt twats they are.

I know it's easy to take shots at them because they're our local rivals, but I like to think I'd be equally as ashamed if our club was behaving like this.

The least that should happen is that they are put under a transfer embargo. Which will remain in place until they have paid for the player and all the legal costs in full.

They should have to return any loan players and be denied further loans too. Plus have a 30 point suspended deduction for spurious appeals, activated if they lose the next one. Increased to 50 points if they appeal the 30 point one and lose. Disgusting shithouses.

I thought CAS was final.

Actually that statement is just irrelevant garbage isn’t it? The ownership of the player was the issue and the reason they were using not to pay. That has now been decided decisively. They have to pay. The football matter is resolved.

If they want to start a different legal action on “blame” to try and get it back, that is entirely separate.

The football authorities really must now insist on immediate payment of the football debt or kick them out of all competitions under the FIFA/ UEFA / FA/ FL umbrella.

To answer the question posed.
The vile cvnts have never appealed to me.
