Cardiff v WBA Tonight

If anyone thinks we are not playing well should have watched that game this evening, it was a shockingly bad performance. One more defeat against Reading and I can see Mick, unfortunately, packing his bags.

Anyone had a look over the other site..

Cardiff get battered everywhere they go (literally)

I honestly think they’re going to get relegated.

There is zero quality in that squad.

Nobody enjoys a Cardiff battering more than me but let's be careful what we wish for. Tomorrow night will be tricky.

Fully expect to lose tomorrow… but we’ll put up more of a fight than cardiff whilst trying to actually play football.

We’re a team in transition heading in one direction and their heading the opposite way.

Their last five managers have been Slade, Trollope, Warnock, Harris and McCarthy, and their squad is largely comprised of bang average hoofers as a result. They had a chance upon relegation to do what we did, clear the decks and begin again, Instead they doubled down on a footballing philosophy 20 years (or more) out of date.

It being Cardiff only a fool would discount the possibility of them somehow spawning their way back from this, but they do look a club in decline. Vinny T's business interests took a battering during the pandemic and you do have to wonder how much longer he's prepared to keep subsidising them.

I haven't kept up with their financial situation. Looking at their transfers since relegation, they seem to have roughly spent as much as they've earned in sales. The parachute payments would have helped, but I'm guessing they're still running at a loss and owe Uncle Vinny lots of money?

They've enjoyed a laugh at our ownership issues, but if our owners wanted to sell up and move on, whoever took over would at least inherit a fairly financially stable club (by football standards at least). Surely they'd still be f**ked if Tan wants to leave AND get all his money back?

Seems to be the gist of it. They've also still got the £15m they still owe Nantes hanging over them like the Sword of Damocles.

Mick McCarthy has apparently put in a bid.
