Just no need of it, the family have been very upset in losing Chester 3 months ago. He just wasn’t safe around children, he ‘went’ for a couple of children and the grandson was unable to go near him. It was a difficult decision but we believe to be the correct one. We explained the situation to the breeder who agreed to take him back, the alternative was ruled out.
Just thought that the remark was unnecessary.

Indeed the are instances where people need to stfu instead of chopsing.

My mate has had an American Cocker Spaniel from a rescue centre for exactly the same reason, he has been training him religiously but he has that edge to him. He is a bit yappy when he first meets you but seems ok once he is used to you.

You can’t take a chance with a dog who can’t be trusted around loved ones. You made the right decision for your family and Chester.

A long time ago, and I wasn't sure about posting this, my mate rescued a rust-coloured spaniel. The poor lad had some health issues (epilepsy is the one I remember) but further than that he was forever biting / snarling at my mate and his wife. My mate said he'd been told by the rescue centre that rust-coloured spaniels were the most problematic of all dogs re: biting their owners. Dunno how true that was but I love dogs but this one scared the bejesus out of me whenever I visited.

Fair play to my mate and his wife. They stuck with him. I bloody wouldn't have.
