• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I know I am in the minority here but I don't blame Clucas one bit.
He had nothing but grief as a Swans player, you'd have sweared he force the club personally to pay £17 million or whatever it was and his wages.
He didn't fit into our side at the time, but was that his fault ?
No wonder he hates us and enjoyed that goal.
Him and Joe Allen played well tonight.
Shame Fulton and Grimes couldn't match their midfield endeavour

I was going to post something similar. I don't get the hatred towards him - its not his fault someone in charge thought he was a good replacement for Sigurdsson! We were also pretty shit all over at that time so he actually fitted in quite well

Holding up the shirt doesn't bother me, would rather that then pretending not to celebrate.

I really hope I never ever meet the shithouse.

Can you blame him though Ed ?
Fans give you nothing but grief for two years or whatever ?
Fans love a scapegoat down here.
Clucas was it then
Think it will be Benda and Lowe this season - if they don't go before the window

I'm with Saint. He played atrociously on too many ocassions and thus got some well deserved flak.

We've got to move on from this as the hatred towards him just provides him with that little extra bit of motivation.

It's give and take.

The terrace abuse only really started when he started celebrating like a lunatic in games against us.

When he was with us the only abuse he really got was fans on forums and Twitter describing how atrocious his performances were, which they were. He went on twitter that time, searched his own name and took it to heart. I remember his meltdown.

He's made a rod for his own back now coz he's always get the face to face abuse from us now& rightfully so. Vice versa too.

I have and to be honest I didn't see much hate for him tonight until his celebration. The odd boo here and there but nothing over the top or particularly noticeable or vehement. But his celebration again has ensured he will get continue to get abused in future meetings and rightfully so.

I’m one of those who hasn’t got a problem with the bloke. Just knew that would happen tonight.

I vividly remember the game against Brighton when a large number of our fans were actually openly booing the man when he was having a poor game.

He’s in the right league for him now and was a level above the majority of our team this evening.

Ged he deserved some of the sh!t he got whilst here because he showed no effort on several occasions, so to do what he did last night and up at Stoke was unforgivable and unprofessional but I've heard that he's quite a dick anyway so it doesn't surprise me.

Unsurprisingly we left early and as we were coming out of the ground some bellend was ranting furiously to a copper about Clucas asking why he wasn't nicked for potentially inciting a riot

Lets be fair, so what if Clucas is a bit of a 2hat if fans are gonna dish it out, it's gonna come straight back and it did again last night, got no issue with that, far more important that giving him grief is concern for our own performance.....

Football fans are a very precious breed. I’d be exactly the same as him if I was on the pitch. Give me shit? You’re going to get it back.
