Same as wanting Cardiff to win something.

It’s not.

Course it is. We in Wales have our own national football teams (male and female). Our local rivals are England. Wanting them to win is exactly akin to the club football equivalent of wanting our local rivals (the scum) to win.

I will never want neither to happen. Welcome to football.

You are entitled to do whatever you want Chiefy and I’m sure our English players will be very proud of you.

I'm sure they'll understand that as a Welsh person they'll fully understand that I wouldn't want England to win.

Strange point, Piroe is Dutch, are we meant to want the Netherlands to win games too?

If our players were playing for England you wouldn’t support them but if Cardiff players were playing for Wales you would.
Grow up.

Haha I need to grow up but you won't support Wales because they have players that happen to be born in a certain place within Wales!?

But you'll support England because we have English players? Do you support Ireland and Scotland then? Don't you want to make Obafemi and Fulton proud? Lol

Where did I say I won’t support Wales?
And yes I would support Ireland and Scotland before a team outside Britain.

Your comment about Cardiff players playing for Wales certainty implied some sort of reservation. The fact you'd even say that is quite telling.

Haha Ireland isn't in Britain 🤣

Northern Ireland, look it up ... (53% of the population in the north affiliate to being Éireann)

Obafemi doesn't play for them though does he?

I was on about Northern Ireland but I’d support Ireland before a foreign team too.

Darran, I hope you don’t mind me asking, are you English?

No I am not.
I am a grown up who is happy to see the British team win before the country that was trying to murder us less than 80 years ago.

Dar, I’m truly happy for you that you’re not troubled by the sporting rivalry that exists between Wales and England. I get on great with English people, and I’m sure that those lionesses are lovely people, but where sport is concerned I’m afraid I too view England as “local” rivals, and, try as I might, can’t bring myself to enjoy their success.

And that’s fine too.

I cannot usually bring myself to support an England team in any sport in which they're a direct rival to Wales, men's football and rugby being the prime examples.

I don't think I've ever watched the Welsh women's team play a match, which may explain why I found myself rooting for this England team when I've watched them play. Found myself really happy for them at the final whistle today.

You want to watch the Welsh girls more often then, we've run England close twice the last few years and lost narrowly to France home and away this last qualifying group.
Gemma Evans would beat Ben Cabango in the air for a 50/50, not even joking  🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
