The idea behind Duff was solid. We needed to move away from the Martin shite. The problem is that when Duff went wrong, we did a complete 180 and ended up on the Russy path again.

The squad isn't as good as it was between 2021-2023. That's for sure. The level of Martin's failure with the tools he had available was significant.

Is it better than getting stuffed 4-0 at Portsmouth, and some of the other results that we've seen? I'd have to say so. Tactically Key and Tymon are getting pulled all over the place. The likes of Abdulai and MPH hung out to dry on the wing weekly. Forwards get hammered for a lack of goals but the team attacks with such little pace and certainty they're basically left with scraps.
People quickly forget just how much talent Martin bombed out of the club because he didn't like the cut of their jib, or that they dared to not play to his instructions like brainless footballing marionettes.

Then there is the money that he cost us both actively with his backstabbing self serving bullshit and passively, we could have gotten real money from the likes of Whittaker but instead we had to settle on a cut price deal with Plymouth because Whittaker quite understandably told the club to go fuck themselves and refused to play for us anymore.

The club despite what he would say did back him quite significantly in the transfer market, but he would then refuse to play those players (like Oko-Flex who showed exciting attacking intent every time he came on the pitch) - as a result we spunked large amounts of money on loan and transfer fees plus wages on players he refused to utilise.

This would also no doubt have a negative impact on what had been a well deserved club reputation for developing players in the loan market and damaging relations with a number of clubs.

Yeah he was very clumsy in his pressers but what's becoming more and more clear is that he was trying to change the culture in the dressing room. But said dressing room, in a comfort zone and with the captain essentially running the club as a safe haven of mediocrity and zero accountability, was having none of it.

Looks increasingly to me it was a case of the right idea, but the wrong man to achieve it.

Swamp needs draining but instead we keep extending player contracts. Putrid.
Hmm 🤔 not sure I’m convinced about that dressing room culture.

Concept vs Reality, in spades.

Duff was the antidote to Martin’s malaise - he just cocked it up a bit but had the potential to deliver.

We’re now back in Martinsville, but we do now have a ready solution at our fingertips …….

Spot on baka

I was aghast when I learned that he was to be given another crack at it - but thanked our lucky stars when Martin refused to travel to the States to meet our owners (he’d allegedly already done deal with somewhere else, the snake)

I have moved from a supporter to on the fence and now firmly in the Williams out camp.

Honestly right now I don't care who gets the job, whether it is Sheehan or some other name the owners have in mind I will take anyone over Williams. His bizarre team selections and formational tactics cost us goal after goal and game after game.

I genuinely believe the squad is good enough to make a tilt at the play offs, but that would never happen with the tactics we have and Williams's inability to change the momentum of a game or make the correct substitutions.

This needs to stop. It's not. For a start, it's a dressing room led by Matt Grimes. On that basis alone it simply will never be a high achieving, high performing environment.

Disagree, I do agree though that Grimes needs to be stripped of the captaincy.
When the side is playing like a collective minge its the duty of the captain to get in the faces of his players and give them a rollicking. I can't remember the last time I have ever seen him do that

Previous two outings under Matty’s stewardship are the template, the blueprint.
Keep up

The previous two games show that Matty has the respect, the nous, the wherewithal to deliver

And together with Marge &Sheez is the obvious solution to the obvious standout limiting factor - Lukey lad.
Can anyone understand a word that this fucker says?

"Marge" and "sheez"🤢 oooo frieeend
