On a good day for the Swans with another home win over Millwall, the gloss was taken a little off the win with Steve Cooper’s after match admission...

Well done steve for your open honestly, you keep fighting for your team.

Starting to feel a little bit sorry for Cooper. I'm one of his critics but you can't fault the results since lockdown, or the improvement in some players this season so far.

Let's just hope we have a couple of signings lined up or this could be a walk scenario

Yet Cooper never played him, or had any confidence in him. It's a strange one

I just said the same thing on Twitter Rayns.

I would guess it's more being told on the morning of a game that you can't include him in the matchday squad because he's being sold. Can't imagine any manager would like that, whether they have any input on transfer decisions or not.

Word is that Cooper has walked

No matter how upset he is I can’t see how he would walk over Peterson. Just let Winter know how annoyed he was, which is what he appears to have done.

However if that happened with Joe ... ...

If that is the case I would add hypocrisy to Cooper's personality traits.
Peterson was loaned out and / or not played, Peterson is a winger - a position Cooper doesn't use, word is Peterson enjoyed playing in the Eredivisie and wanted to stay (or leave the Swans).
Given the player wasn't wanted but was keen to leave it is reasonable the CEO would ask for him to be removed from the squad if a serious offer had been tabled.
Perhaps Cooper is missing the kids teams.

Peterson was sht, let’s not mess about.

But if you think the way Winter went about it telling Cooper on the morning of the game after Cooper’s put him in the squad is fine...well...you’ve got a lot to learn about how to treat and manage your key staff

Another stick for you to beat Cooper with

Cooper walked over Peterson? Yeah right.

I’ll take your Peterson and raise you a Celina.

I have my own doubts about Cooper's ability, but your insistence on blaming him for everything and being unable to acknowledge when the club's owners do something wrong does you no favours.

I repeat, no matter how often they may pick a player, any manager would be furious/feel undermined if he was told on the morning of a game that he couldn't name that player in his matchday squad, with presumably no prior notice he was being sold. Looks like Winter may well be as poor an appointment as was feared.
