Is he? He’s better than that pub league. I’m not surprised to see him top of the list of favourites for the Palace job.

Didn't do Brendan any harm.

Couple of years hoovering up trophies, bit of European football, then walk back into a mid sized Prem team with reputation enhanced and/or restored.

Exactly. A decent chance for any mediocre manager (not saying Rodgers or Howe are) to go and sweep up some trophies. Granted a little bit more difficult now that Rangers are back.

Unless a manager royally f*cks up, moving to Celtic can cause no harm.

Aye but how much good did it do him in terms of career enhancement? Rangers were still finding their feet in the SPL when Rogers was doing his hoovering. Howe going to Celtic is not a guaranteed match made in heaven, particularly based on how Gerrard has Rangers operating. I don't think Howe has a reputation to restore either.

Celtic could well finish second in all domestic competitions for a few years to come. That's not going to do him any good whatsoever.

With some half-decent management they could also finish first for a few years to come being as it’s a two horse race...

He’s overtook Lampard as 7/4 favourite now

Well if he does go there not difficult to know his first 3 signings. Woodman, Guehi and Ayew methinks.

And relegation to follow. Cmon Palarse, give us the compo. You know you want to. You gave 2 mill for Pardew for Christ sake. This guy’s just like Rogers, Laudrup and Potter. Do it.

Yes Palace... the man is an absolute genius.

Pay us the compo and he’s yours.

Celtic are light years behind Rangers right now and I can’t see them catching up quickly. I reckon it’s a one horse race for the foreseeable.

Got a feeling this is a real possibility. He's looking like a new man recently, laughing and looking happy on the touchline. Haven't seen it since the fist pumps from 19/20

It would certainly be a more difficult task than what Brendan faced.
