• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

When I sat next to him going on holiday, he talked about various job offers and gave off the vibe that he was rejecting offers far more attractive than a low end championship offering. He’s better than that gig, without any doubt.

Be managerial suicide for any decent future job opportunities coming his way.
Don't do it Stevie lad.

They’ll do well to employ him. He plays winning football at this level, opinions of the experts on here are not worth a wank, when he has proved it three times over.

I hope he doesn’t go there for that reason.

What exactly has he proved though?

That you can hoof your way to the playoffs by putting 10 men behind the ball and having one good striker who can nick you games 1-0, then eventually get exposed in the PL because teams find it easy to work you out in the end?

Coaches like him are ten a penny. Any coach worth their salt could have done what he's done with the resources he's had.

He's just a slightly luckier Garry Monk, that's all.

Aye, he’s a lucky manager. That’ll be it.

Three top six finishes in the championship, some people get all the luck
In three seasons no less. How many managers have achieved play-offs every season they've been in the league (with two different clubs) and achieved promotion?

Glad he's not going there.

And me.

Amazing how some people can't see past his style of play and admit he's not that bad of a manager.

How many managers never achieve getting there once in their whole careers. Quite a few I’d wager.

The first two of those were with parachute money, allowing us to have the highest paid player in the division on £90k a week. (Yet despite that, still ended in failure)

The third play off tilt with Forest was successful, but only after they'd spent shit loads of money under Marinakis leaving him a great squad. And they actually won the play off final without one shot on target. Very Cooper.

Cooper is a limited, average manager who got lucky a couple of times being in the right place at the right time. His PL record says it all. Check his PL away record at Forest, as bad as it gets, one of the worst of all time and eventually cost him his job because he didn't know how to solve it.

In 3-5 years time he'll be stinking the place out in League One, like Monk. Bookmark this - trust me 😁

I can't take you seriously 🤣
