hourihane, bennett, guehi, woodman are all prem players. Add retaining Ayew, Roberts, addition of Morris etc and spending 700k on a 20 year old you're talking absolute shite
If you think a couple of loan players and 700k after selling our best players for good money is the necessary backing for a push for promotion to the premier league then fine, its not mine, we are doing well despite the owners , not because of them

On top of 80K a week wages for Ayew 800K for Lowe at the start of the season, I think he's been backed by owners.
As for selling our best players, this was to sustain cash flow in the club which Birch stated at the time.

So who made the calls to appoint both Birch and Winter? Who would have approved the call to make both Potter and Cooper managers? Who would have chosen to try and put the club back on a financially even keel rather than see the debts mount up to eyewatering levels?
Pixies?

I'd like to think the same, but the reality is that they can't resist the opportunity of jumping into a more "established" PL club, just as most of our previous managers have done, despite declaring undying loyalty! Can't really blame them I suppose, as they will always feel the opportunity won't come again.sainthelens said:Whereas Potter was always gonna use us as a stepping stone, I get the feeling with Coops he's taking a real genuine interest in not just bringing the youngsters through but achieving big things here. Coupled with the fact he seems really comfortable working with younger players, I don't think he's in a hurry to go in any way.
