Totally agree with you. I didn’t know it was Gwennan Harries until you just named her, but I was thinking the same thing about her watching the game, I was really impressed with her knowledge and insights.

Gwennan Harries. One of the best co-commentators on tv, in my opinion. Always insightful, really enjoy listening to her. Between her and OTJ Sgorio has a pretty good team, although Malcolm Allen and Johnny H a bit less so (as much as I like them both)! And yes, Gwennan’s shriek of delight as the goal went in was a joy!

Well chuffed with that tonight. Not least cos it distracted me from the godawful film the wife is engrossed in. But what a result.

Indeed. Did not think that would happen. A point from the toughest game of the group is a huge bonus and the performance is almost meaningless. We didn't play particularly well when we drew away to Belgium in Euro 2016 qualifying (except in defence), but who cares given what it led to?

They've got the games against Latvia on Tuesday and Armenia in June at home which are both must wins before traveling to Turkey. Improved performances would be great, but 6 points are really all that matter. Hope to see Oli get minutes off the bench on Tuesday.

What film was the wife watching btw? The other half and I finally got around to watching Everything Everywhere All at Once yesterday. Bonkers, but enjoyable. Worth it just to see Short Round/Data in a film again...

My understanding has picked up a lot over the last year so now I’m comfortable listening to Gwen (Malcolm is another level again!); and glad for it as she is excellent and speaks as if she’s talking to her team mates with her honesty.

Welsh at all levels is for everyone

I thought the 2nd half performance was pretty decent to be fair. We looked pretty solid and weren’t overly troubled by Croatia - although it felt they were just going through the motions and could move up a gear when needed - luckily for us we got the goal when it was too late for them to do anything about it.

I felt the same. Almost took me back to when we were in the PL and thinking we were coming on strong against the big boys knowing they could flick the switch at any point.

But we got the draw; just need to build on that positivity now. It will do well to build confidence because we need it all.

Still want Page out of the picture but we are where we are.
