• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Can someone please explain how this has happened........ am I watching a different game to most people

Whoscored's ratings system is heavily weighted in favour of who scored. It's a good site for actual stats and data but the marks out of ten match ratings are pointless fluff.

That's an absurd award based on how I viewed the game. If there are (defensive) stats which I have not seen and that back this up then I will happily change my view. Right now I can only assume that the goal and assist are massaging the opinions.

exactly, lets just forget about the penalty he gave away with that stupid delayed response tackle. That was the point that put that game beyond doubt...... but ye scored a header so 9/10

When I saw the title of the thread, I thought it was going to be an award for "Twat of the Week", for which HD's tackle would definitely put him in the frame

Publicise the hell out of it and sell him to Everton.

Yep, just like Garth Crooks team of the week on the Beeb website. Any defender that scores a goal has a great chance to be in there. Otherwise he'd have to actually watch all the games and judge who actually played well.

Defender playing for a team that conceded three goals, gave away a penalty and should have been sent off, but gets in the team of the week because he scored a consolation goal. Makes sense!

Yeah, the goal and assist will hugely skew the ratings. He also won 9 aerial duals (used to be called headers in my day).

Whoscored.com ratings throw up some weird stats sometimes that don’t necessarily reflect the game.
