• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Irishman William O'Connor has destroyed his opponent 3-0 with a 102 average

He plays MVG next round, judging by last night he is the favourite

Beau Greaves played well but just fell short

Jonny Clayton opponent busted for drug use, hes into the 3rd round before the 1st has finished

I don’t agree with giving him a bye. The should have reinstated the guy who got knocked out in round one.

Probably at the pub legless after clocking off for Christmas, would have worked in the 70s

I think he beat a Swede so it’s not impossible to get him back in time for his return in the second round. Fair enough if it was some guy from Oz who had already gone home.

You cant be reinstating people in tournaments based on where they live. :ROFLMAO:

Whether or not Clayton deserved a bye is up for debate, but what isn't up for debate is that he now has a great chance of a quarter final spot. He'd have been expecting to play Michael Smith next round but he surprisingly lost to Zonneveld, who is a bit of a journeyman. Clayton should beat him, especially over a longer format.

It would be immoral, but I don’t know what behind the scenes conversations took place regarding the decision of what to do.
It will undoubtedly be a pre existing tournament rule. They won’t be making decisions like this on the fly, there will be a rule about what happens if a player can’t play for any reason and that rule is that his opponent gets a bye.

Looking forward to the darts today, the afternoon session I fancy, Ratajski, Cullen and Hopp.

Come on Ratajski, did a small bet on him, match winner, highest checkout, and most 180s at 7-1

A simple paragraph in the DRA press release could have explained this and quashed the groundswell of support for the Swedish chap. What’s fuelled the debate is the fact that Taylor was tested within minutes of winning his match.
