Does anyone know of or uses a tidy, reasonably priced dash cam, that comes with a rechargeable battery. Thinking of getting one for the wife, and I know she doesnt want the faff of wires all over the gaff. Thanks in advance. 👍

I have one, runs from cigarette plug, not aware of any re chargable ones but i know there solar ones fo reversing cams

Sorry, I have not got one. But if you get no luck here, take a look at Argos and the reviews, I find the reviews more genuine than Amazon.

I should get one though mind, looking at the price between 50-100 quid, and could save a lot of money in a potential insurance case where the other party, denies fault.

There’s a guy called Big Jobber on Facebook who was formerly an insurance company claims handler who reviews dash cam footage of collisions etc, he makes a few recommendations and the consumer magazine Which also have a few reviews on best buys.

I’ve been looking at them too, but sorting out the wheat from the chaff fr a reasonable price is difficult. Let us know how you get on.

Fortunately I'm not on FB😁. I did have a quick search last night from what I've learned rechargable ie non wired cams dont seem to be available, could be wrong I gave up to be honest, I'll have another search again. I do have one which I bought during lockdown( I was bored and ordered a shit load of stuff to keep me entertained), anyway the dashcam I got was cheap as chips, but it's still going strong, so far. It takes seconds to put on the windscreen and even less to plug in, just thought I could get hold of one that didnt have a million miles of cabling, and to be honest I cant be arsed to reroute them behind all the dash trim etc. Anyhoo I'll keep searching, thanks for your input.👍

Owzat Ron🤷‍♂️
Cos if you don't want wires trailing about you'll probably end up taking it out of the car to charge it and then forget to put it back in that one time your missus decides to park the Corsa up the back of a Transit. Either that or it will just go flat and you won't know.

Fair point👍
