Great free kick - hell of a player. Had the pleasure of watching at Werder Bremen. Lovely lad too. Mourinho did a character assassination on him when he realised he had screwed up. Absolute bastard.

Chelsea's business model in the Abramovich years of stockpiling so many players meant they were always going to have some 'what the hell were they thinking letting him go' moments.

De Bruyne and Salah do stand out as 2 absolute clangers though.

De Bruyne was worth every penny but grealish , he might have looked good at Aston villa but at city he looks like a carthorse amongst thoroughbreds , I doubt he would even get on the bench if not for the need to justify his transfer

I was watching one of the city games earlier this season and the ball was rolled out to de Bruyne from the left wing and as soon as the ball went to him and he was shaping to shoot you knew it was a goal before it even reached his boot.

You are right although Grealish is good at conning refs into giving free kicks and then it’s De Bruyne’s job to bury them. Exactly what happened at Leicester.
