Not at all, it’s marketing logic at its simplest.

I’ll have a mug. I’m forever leaving them in meeting rooms and losing them for a few weeks. You can never have enough mugs.

It also pumps a few quid into the club (not to be translated as pumps a few quid into the hands of the Americans).
