Duff and Cole

"I see the game played more on the front foot"

"Am I obsessed with possession? No. I'd rather win 1-0 with 60% possession than have 80% possession and draw 0-0"

I'm trying not to get too hyped up about Duff, but he's ticking all the right boxes for me so far. So many games last season where we'd have been better off if we hadn't been so timid moving the ball forward.

Resist the urge son

As he said words are cheap, but if he produces a team to match his words then we are in for a positive season.

Seemed a mixture of grounded along with ambitious reality.

They’re both saying all the right things, I hope that it’s backed up with some money to get a few new players in. I’m a lot more optimistic for the coming season since these guys have come in.
It’s the hope that kills you as a supporter. 😁

It all sounds very interesting, but and its a big but, I expect that Levien still has the final say on things, so you'll have to play things as it goes and by ear etc.

I doubt that will be the case.

Mostly because his shareholding will have been diluted by recent investments. Coleman, Morris and co won't have put the cash in that they have only to let others have all the say. Between them I doubt that Kaplan and Levein own anything like 50% of the club any more.

Also it seems apparent that the whole player acquisition, even the whole club management process has been streamlined as a response to previous issues. Coleman runs the business side, Watson the football. Duff and Marsh can make requests and/or suggestions, but it very much looks like the buck will stop at those two.

Talk is just talk troops, its all about the wonga this next few weeks, players out for cash and players in for cash.
Like for like and a bit more will show our ambition for 23/24 👍

I keep on saying it, but if we look at ourselves geographically and at the size of club we are etc, we are probably where we are because we deserve to be etc, we ain't gonna compete with teams that can attract more wonga because of where they are etc.
With the more poplar clubs who preside in attractable areas to the money men of this world, we aren't gonna compete above mid championship with the odd flirtation with the playoffs if we're lucky, the more "fashionable" clubs are always gonna attract the sugar daddies who desire a Football club as their play thing.

We got there once I know and did well to stay there, but its got harder now that's not to say we won't do it again, but we'll probably again be back to where we are now, which is fine of course.
