Duff's Cardiff quote

I just think it was both Ill timed, and not a good thing to say in regards “promotion”.
We can mostly as people totally understand what he’s getting at, part of me was actually thinking “is he deluded talking promotion” the other half was thinking, well at least he’s got ambition 😂
When we get around to the Cardiff fixture, it has more importance than others to fans as history is there for all sorts of reasoning, it absolutely batters you to lose that game and it’s hard to shake off, and as has been mentioned, Cardiff managers in the past, in the public speeches have dismissed that game, is it bluff? Protection? Or a genuine “don’t care”? Who knows?
But, I think people aren’t happy Duff has said it on the back of a less than satisfactory beginning of the season, but we could well lose, as we speak I’m expecting it, but we need to at least show up in that derby I know that much, or questions will be asked not purely based on that game, but as a matter of going forward, as fans will definitely voice an opinion that they’re unhappy, let’s hope that behind scenes he’s working hard with the players to be better in every bloody game not just against them lot, we still have no choice but to try and exercise patience and time, not easy when we’re being served up a bit of a sh1t sandwich at present, but let’s just hope a little break and a good few training sessions with the new blood’s invigorates everyone.
And above all fk Cardiff city!

It's a nonsense statement anyway.

Of course everyone would swap, but that's not a choice or realistic outcome. Losing to a mid table at best team like Cardiff means you are very unlikely to get promoted. In fact losing any game means that you are less likely to get promoted.

As we are unlikely to be promoted anyway, more likely to be looking over our shoulders, the real prospective outcomes are lose to Cardiff twice and don't get promoted or don't lose to Cardiff twice and don't get promoted, and be a little further from the trapdoor.

To pretend in that context that it is the same as playing eg Rotherham is just a stupid position to take. It clearly is not. He will reap a shit storm now if we lose, as I think is highly probable.
