Fill in the gap.

The first goalkeeper to score was Bolton Wanderers’ James Parkinson in 1889 in one of the two outfield appearances he made during a career of 22 league games. But 16 of the 18 goals by goalkeepers before the First World War came from penalties. Spot kicks also brought 22 of the 29 goals between the wars, but there have been only eight since 1929, the last three by ................ in 1995.

I remember the Chesterfield one at the Vetch on my 39th birthday. We were cruising at 3 - 0 then they brought on a young lad called Kevin Davies who scored two and left us hanging on for the win.

On the same day that Roger Freestone scored his penalty for the Swans against Shrewsbury (12/08/1995), Hereford goalkeeper Chris MacKenzie scored against Barnet.
