• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

He’s very, very good at what he does. I rewatched the Football Nation series last week as part of the build up to Sunday. I enjoyed it the first time round but a second watch really brought home how good it is and how well it summarised the highs and (mostly) lows of more than half a century of Welsh football in just two hours. I haven’t been to a Wales game since 2011 but he’s written this in the Guardian today which made me feel like I was there on Sunday. Well worth a few minutes of your time.

I can still dimly recall reading his recap of an away trip to Carlisle with AndyNak and hooting with laughter throughout.

He absolutely loves his football and captures all the emotions so well.
He's a credit to Carmarthen.

Cracking fella he is. Had good chat with him walking to Ashton Gate last season. Loves the club and very down to earth.

Aye, he's a great bloke, approachable.

Spoke to him after the QPR debacle a few years ago.

It’ll be on the iPlayer. Four episodes. Full title is Elis James: Football Nation.

Reading that actually gave my head a good boot regarding how brilliant this all is.

I think I was so prepared for disappointment and the Ukraine angle that I just couldn't get myself going. I've witnessed so many disappointing outcomes and often left devastated when we've blown it, and I simply watched on Sunday in full zombie mode. I need to play catch up before Qatar. Let's kick some ass.

Repeatedly having to reach the acceptance stage of the grief cycle will do that to you. If losing doesn't matter then neither does winning. Had to do that many times over the years with Wales and more recently the Swans.
