This is the fourth time England have conceded 500 or more in the Stokes era. They won the other three games. Cracking little factoid I saw on Twitter that.
I can remember two of them. One was in Pakistan when England scored 800 when batting second (last year or back end of winter before I think), and the commentary at the time said this was the second time it has happened in Pakistan in recent years. No idea about the third game though.

... v New Zealand.

Given the match situation that century by Smith is absolutely ridiculous and one of the best test knocks I’ve ever seen.

The guy is a class act. Capable of destroying a bowling attack, as just witnessed.

Well this is intriguing now. From 84/5 to 407 all out so England will be happy enough but India have a first innings lead of 180. But now India have a dilemma. Two days and change left. How much is safe to leave England chase and how long do India want to give themselves to bowl England out? The last hour today could be telling. And a bit of weather around for the weekend.

Six ducks in the England innings of 407. I’ve not seen any cricket today that must have been some knock by Smith. 👍

That was a record - the highest Test score to have 6 ducks.

Tremendous innings from both Smith and Brook - loads of records broken, but the Indian bowlers from 1st change on - looked like a team of pie chuckers!!

It may be that the weather makes India pay for their cowardly and ridiculously delayed declaration yesterday.

Quite why India continued to bat on especially given the forecast was always not clever for today way beyond me
