EV charging

There is a westbound stretch near Stormy Down where the slow lane is basically unused.
There's a stretch of the middle lane to avoid not far from junction 36 westbound which is pretty lumpy.

I have always been impatient over roadworks, but this year I am prepared to put up with them. I don’t recall seeing the M4 so bad for many years; even some newish sections of road surface are chewed up in places. Cue a string of night closures and diversions.
If there are newish sections breaking up, I'd be going back to the contractor, for them to revisit and rectify the issues, it's not acceptable. As you have said already, it's a matter of safety, first and foremost, you cant fvck about with things like that.

Short term fix to save money is a big part of the problem. They fill the holes instead of taking enough of the surface completely off to below the bottom of the deepest holes.

They just fill in the holes here now too, no attempt to even level it off.

It's terrible in the forest for potholes too, loads of claims against the council for buckled wheels.

Absolutely, and we've discussed it on here before, just chucking in a shovelful of quick set just isnt fixing the problem. I just dont get it.

The existing shamonca isn’t too clever, needs the full makonky.

The roads throughout are fing awful wherever you go, on another note I hate that Cowbridge west road youngest's respite home is on there virtually at the bottom end, went to pick him up safternoon noon and it was horrendous between the speed camera's traffic lights all along and people swapping lanes, I hate that bastard road:mad:

I jest of course. I’ve neither the money nor desire to buy a BMW of any kind. Cars are a means to an end for me. I’d never pay silly money for one
I've always fancied a Merc, but I've gone off the idea now and they mostly use Renault engines these days I'm told.

Youre not wrong, tell me about it, we've just been on the M4 up to Crapdiff and back, I've never seen it so bad, pot holes and missing wearing course every 20 yards, shocking.
Came back from Cardiff safternoon myself, turned off at Pencoed on the way up and headed up on the A48 stopped for lunch in Aubrey Arms, then headed for Cowbridge Rd, thankfully there were no issues on that other dreadful road the A4232 which makes a change.

Best cars I’ve ever had. Throughly recommend them, he says while currently driving an Audi 🙄🤣
Servicing costs and insurance is another reason, not had my own car insurance for as long as I can remember, just had bike insurances and I've not had a bike for virtually 7 years.
