• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Only the second time ever at the Liberty?

LDV vans trophy about 13 years ago?

Wasn't there extra time in the FA Cuppp last season against Southampton at home?

Not allowed there because of those local Covid restrictions iirc

Ah christ I'd erased that game from my memory.

Probably for the best. They were down to ten men from about 15 minutes and still won!

Penalty shootouts have been a rarity.

I think theres definitely been at least one, maybe a paint trophy game.

Was saying the same to my old man earlier. Something is telling me it was MK Dons in the JPT but I may be wrong.

Walsall the season we won the cup. We drew 2-2 and won the shootout. Tate put one away that night yet the Barnsley play off, well say no more!

That Barnsley play off worked out for the best, but it's still painful. Should have buried them in normal time, but I doubt we'd have ever seen the PL then.

Scunthore in league cup when we had 3 sent off under Paulo Sousa. Hull in league cup when Pintado scored late equaliser and we went on to win are a couple i can remember.

That was the single coldest game I've ever experienced there. Was banging my feet against the floor just to get some feeling back into them.

That was an away game. We lost 1-0 at home, won 1-0 away but Gueret saved a pen from Jason Scotland and we lost the shootout.

The only one I can remember was against Walsall the year we won the LDV cup, and we also beat them again (I think) the following season away on pens.
