Love the early rounds (proper), that still have that feeling of what the cup should be about.

Hereford v Pompey on BBC now.

Wrexham v Oldham on ITV Sunday (strange one considering both are non-league but I think we all know why its being shown)

Couldn't give a monkeys about it myself. I'm not one of those super football fans that subscribes to shite like non-league day, or ground hopping. I may watch the Wrexham game, if I'm doing nothing else mind, and only because I've recently watched their documentary. Third round is where it happens, purely because we enter it.

Wrexham make it easy against Oldham to go into Round 2

Alvechurch stunned Cheltenham yesterday

Torquay v Derby on ITV now

Da Iawn Wrecsam Heddiw

and well done to any Welsh team that beats an english team

It's quite depressing seeing loads of teams and grounds I've seen scuttling around non-league. Some like poor Torquay right at the bottom. This could (might) so easily be us at some point. I think clubs with some history should be protected like they used to be in many ways, even though I accept it's unfair on some teams like Borehamwood, Forest Green etc.

Some of the grounds many of us have seen us win and, probably more often, lose at:

Torquay
York
Scunny
Notts Co
Oldham
Southend
Aldershot
Wrexham
Yeovil
Halifax

All in that graveyard and some probably falling lower. Who can forget at the Vetch/Lib, Trundle and the Tits against Yeovil, or Tosh and Chesterfield. Or Southend being promoted to the championship. Or Notts Co - the 3-2 -in Division one, days when the excitement was off the scale.

Such a shame for them all.

As you say could so easily have been us and had it been would we have bounced back? I have my doubts that we would have done.

As you say, some great trips, some great memories - that's how many of us cut our teeth growing up watching the Swans, some these days don't know they were born

Oxford United v Swansea City
