• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I am enjoying the competition.
Great to see some global club teams I had never heard of let alone seen play before.
Overall good standard of football.
Winning team gets £92 million so a change to preseason planning won’t bother them too much if win and if they don’t, this is far better to get a team to gel ( lots of new team players involved Delap etc ) and have a look at quality of your squad than many of the tedious preseason friendlies, in my opinion.
Fair enough. We’ll have to agree to disagree ;-)

I like the concept of a World Cup for clubs; What's not to like about the best club teams from all continents playing to be crowned World Champions, especially if it's in a proper format and there is enough money and clout surrounding it that teams actually give a sh*t.

Saying that, I haven't watched a minute of it

How long into next season will it take before Pep will be complaining that his players are tired and playing too many games.

Do you think this introducing the players one by one as they come out onto the pitch will catch on.
I think it’s rather cringy myself
To me, bearing in mind that it’s a team game, the old maxim ‘There’s no I in Team’ has never been truer.

It’s a load of old donkey dreamt up by some PR twit.

What I don’t understand is, if they started working in July 2024, what time have they had off since?

Not forgetting they are all internationals too.

And what about holibobs etc with their families?

It's true that there's no I in team.

There is a me though...

Sounds a tough gig, most of them earn millions of pounds a year though, and live a life of luxury most of us can only dream of. Swings and roundabouts I suppose 🤷

75 mins gone and most of the players on the pitch don’t seem able to make even a simple pass. It’s 38 degrees C though.

Does anyone think that summer games should be played South of the equator?

Another game stopped cos they’re scared of the weather. Tragic. What a pathetic abomination of a tournament this is.

“Fifa says: "Due to adverse weather conditions in Charlotte, including the risk of lightning in the vicinity of Bank of America Stadium, the FIFA Club World Cup match between SL Benfica and Chelsea FC has been suspended. A 30-minute break has been foreseen.

"FIFA will follow the established safety protocols, and the match will resume as soon as it’s safe to do so."

Uh yeah. Storms. Scary.

They appear to be still hiding from a storm that will probably never arrive. Snowflakes.
