• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

For the first time in years we looked like a football team, if you missed a tackle, someone would be there, if you lost the ball, the whole team regrouped into shape, tackles, challenging in the air even though you're not going to win it, competing for every morsel.. we might not win on Tuesday, but always remember, even in defeat there'll be an echo amongst the gods of Valhalla that it'll be a beautiful one, Etc.

Fought hard today. Had pace where it mattered.

Perhaps the start of better times

Good to see. Grimes had a top game, would like to see more of him in attack. Unleash the beast. Has an eye for a pass and a screamer. With pace on the wings and Tymon in support the opposition won't know which way to turn.

The pace going forward on the flanks created space in the middle for Grimes to work in. Fulton sorted it out in the defensive role and may have to throttle back a little but the passion was contagious.

Shame it was away from home.

Leeds is a free hit and a draw would be immense but after being on fire for the first 3-4 months of the season, Ipswich are beatable and a performance like yesterday's could do it.

I watched Leeds on telly away at Plymouth in the cup last week and they are relentless going forward. Pass and move, pass and move, all done with pace and skilful dribbling. We'd do really well to take a point there.
I feel our best chance is to take the game to them like we did yesterday. Get the ball out to the wings and use pace to attack them down the flanks. They won't like it 'em, Mr Mannering.

Leeds will be a tough graft, they are one of the two sides essentially battling it out for the last auto promotion place. Would be delighted with a point and another strong performance but would settle for a strong performance :)
