Fizzy water

Am I right in thinking that you can now get a fancy kitchen tap that will deliver boiling water without the need for your kettle and can chuck out fizzy water? Presume you need a CO2 cannister for it to work? If so anyone got one and are you having problems getting the CO2 cannister?

Never been able to drink it. Maybe if you put a bit of lime cordial in it, Tesco's own isn't bad.

It has to be Rose’s.

Bought the Tesco double concentrated be ause we couldn't get Rose's. When we did everyone preferred the Tesco one. Trouble is they've now made it quadruple concentrated and it's not for the good of it. Still better than Rose's though, I think they changed their recipe as well.

I believe that the carbon dioxide used to give the drink its fizz is only made by one plant in the UK. It is produced in bulk over a single period in a year and this plant is American owned so you'll be shocked to hear they previously asked the UK govt for a subsidy to produce more..An arch capitalist American company wanting socialism!

What I find quite perplexing however is that there is absolutely no shortages of Coke, Pepsi, own brand lemonades and drinks, all of which use CO². God forbid the UK runs out of its fizzy pops!

Why has fizzy water supplies been exclusively hit?

Either the sheer volume of their purchase or the size of the company guarantees that they will be at the front of the queue mate.

So we need a scientist now. Why is there not enough CO2 for our fizzy drinks yet our world is rapidly disappearing down the crapper because there's too much CO2 in the atmosphere? C'mon Elon, get on it old son!

Processing to a contained product is the issue. Can't really capture from the air.

Vast quantities are needed in animal production.

I can never take to the supermarket brand stuff. A lime and soda is my midweek go to so I’ve done rigorous testing on all sorts of cordials
