• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Tbh i was a bit disappointed when he left. I thought he did a great job getting us to the play off final considering some of the teams around us that had more in depth better squads. Maybe the football at times wasn't pretty but it got the job done(Except the play off final!!) Good luck to him at forest i say and i hope he gets a favourable reception when he returns.

Stop being reasonable, you'll never fit in around here with an attitude like that

Be all edgy and tough mun, throw a few w****r comments in, and how you'd like to give him a damn good thrashing, that should cover it for you.

On paper he has a better squad with more experience plus they have more funds to dip into transfer market.
Our players are learning on the job and in fairness I think the signs are there that we are improving after a piss poor write off of a pre-season. 🤞

This is what an ardent Forest fan, that I know well, said about Copper's style of football following last night's game:-

"Football was impressive. Passing on the ground and quick tempo. Looking good"

Surely must be some mistake and the turnaround in starting to win games must be masking the truth :)

I think everyone knows that he knows how to get results given what he did with us. Interesting to see how they are playing though, I haven't caught any games with them just yet but will try to watch the next time they're on TV.

Some clubs will take any style for success, I think the majority of our opinions lie on the other end of the scale, which is fine both sides.

No doubt you would be one of the ones who slates Martinez on here, yet Cooper - whose lack of bottle when it mattered put us in a worse position than when he arrived and downed tools on the job - is a hero.

Delivered at times excruciating football, largely got results, but ultimately set us back from a good path where Potter had us and now means that Martin had a hand tied behind his back as soon as he started.

Doesn't deserve anyone's adulation or defence when he decided he didn't want to be here and was whoring himself out to any club who would give him a bigger pay cheque. Don't wish him any bad, or good for that matter

Slates Martinez? Cooper a hero of mine?

I'm a grown up my friend, you've got me confused with someone else, but no offence was taken.

Perhaps you didn't slate Martinez, but the same few who did will no doubt be licking Cooper's ring when we play Forest.

If you're not one of them, fair enough. But I'm confused why anyone would need to feel the need to defensive about Cooper considering all of the above.

There's no perhaps about it, quite the opposite in fact.

I'm not defending him at all, what i am pointing out are the churlish comments about him. I can appreciate that he did a very good job here for us, whilst his brand of "football" could be investigated by trading standards. Nevertheless, he made a damn good fist of trying to get us promoted. He fell short, he left, we got a new man in and we go again.
