Opta stats confirm my thought of him as man of the match. 4 tackles, 2 interceptions, doesn't seem to count all the times he muscled other players off the ball though.

Today I thought he was incredible and absolutely looks like a player who could step up to a higher level. Adept at sniffing out danger, not afraid to get stuck in and has an impressive range of passing too

Looks a great signing

Only negative to say on him is that he can’t last a full 90 minutes. He looked like he could barely walk coming off today

Incredible that we signed him. Will be signed by a top 10 club next summer.

Better than Downes.

Absolute joy to watch, considering teams like Galatasary were reportedly after him what a find from the recruitment team.

His ability to read the game, to be where he needs to be to regain posession or snuff out danger is as close to Prime Leon as anyone else I've seen in a good long while.

If we do have an undroppable midfielder, it ain't Matty.

Excellent find as is vigoroux. How the hell was the fourth choice at Burnley and not played at higher level given his age?

I think Eom will be too - glimpses of real class but I think he needs a goal or two to relax

Agreed on Vigaroux he’s been brilliant and his distribution is top class.
