• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Which is the point. The club can tell Sheehan that we're not actively looking to sell him all they like, but if a big enough offer comes in then he's off. AS knows this as much as anyone else does. As in the Darling situation, what can the club possibly promise/reassure Sheehan on that? We've talked to HD about a new deal but could still easily be blown out of the water by someone else.
Slightly unrelated but it reminds me of one of things where Sheehan is untested. Obviously he ticks the boxes so far in terms of analysing the opposition, setting a team up, motivation, etc, but player recruitment is a different beast. I’m sure he’s well known enough in the game to have contacts and we have team of people working on it but I would have thought players walking out of the door this summer and their replacements would be top of his list of reservations if he was to be offered the job. Franco going would be a blow to him and it could take two or three windows to get that kind of quality on the pitch again.
