I like Fulton but when the squad had Grimes, Ntcham, Downes, Fulton and Smith we had five players who are ultimately all the same or similar kinds of players wanting to play in similar roles on the pitch.
Now Downes and Smith are gone so we have a more healthy balance of Grimes, Ntcham, Fulton and Allen for those controlling midfield roles (Ntcham can arguably play a little further forward but I feel controlling midfield is where he is best and I would rather a pairing of Ntcham and Allen if I am being honest).
I wouldn't be opposed to shifting Fulton though if it means that someone like Oli Cooper or Ben Lloyd can get the opportunity to grow and develop.
